Natural recipes to beat hair loss

Hair loss, damage and lack of glow are common problems that many of us endure. It can be very frustrating to keep trying different remedies and products with little or no results. There are tons of products available in the market, almost all of them claiming to reverse hair loss, which makes it confusing and difficult to choose any one solution.

Having said that, the best way to find a solution is to go back to basics – a healthy body and scalp are always the key to healthy and glowing hair. For a healthy body, a well-rounded and nutritious diet are important. If you do not get sufficient nutrition (particularly protein and vitamins), no amount of oils, lotions, conditioners, or serums can impact hair loss.

For a healthy scalp, first and foremost, one should avoid exposure to all harmful chemicals that modern day products are loaded with. Natural essential oils and base oils provide all the vital nutrients to scalp and stimulate hair growth. In addition, some essential oils also help in preventing infections and damage to the scalp. Below are the top recipes for hair oils that are great to stop hair loss, promote hair growth and restore a natural shine to the hair.

Blend 1:

2 tablespoons of Pumpkin Seed oil (20ml)
5 drops of Rosemary essential oil
5 drops Lavender essential oil
2 drops of Cypress essential oil

Blend 2:

2 tablespoons of Grape Seed oil
1 tablespoons of Jojoba oil
5 drops of Cedarwood essential oil
5 drops of Clary Sage essential oil

Blend 3:

2 tablespoons of Evening Primrose oil
5 drops of Rosemary essential oil
5 drops of Thyme essential oil

Blend 4:

1 tablespoon of Evening Primrose oil
1 tablespoon of Castor Seed oil
5 drops of Lavender essential oil
2 drops of Peppermint essential oil
2 drops of Cypress essential oil

All the above blends can be made easily at home. Massaging the scalp everyday with these blends stimulates the blood vessels in the scalp, deeply nourishes the hair roots and increases hair growth and repair of damaged hair. The best time to use these blends is at night before sleeping as the body is more focused on healing when we are asleep. Lastly, apart from using natural remedies, one should avoid hair exposure to dust and pollution as much as possible. Consistent nutrition and care over time should lead to noticeable improvement in hair fullness, texture and shine. Try these recipes and bring a fresh breath of life to your hair.
